I’ve wanted to become a dentist ever since I was a little boy and told my parents that numerous times growing up. I had an uncle who was a dentist and I always wanted to be like him. When I was 21, I spent the summer working for him, for the purpose of helping me decide if Dentistry might be right for me. Watching him interact and take care of his patients just continued to motivate me. He told me “Take your time making your decision, but once it’s made go all in.” I feel like I did.

I completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1998 and started practicing dentistry in Las Vegas. I was in Las Vegas for 15 years before family moved me back to Calgary in 2012.

Since moving to Calgary, I have focused my practice to IV Sedation and Surgeries and love taking care of the patients sent to see me. My favourite quote would be: “Seek first to Understand, then to be Understood.” It applies to all aspects of life but especially in the healthcare setting.

Outside of Dentistry, I love the outdoors and appreciate how Calgary/Okotoks has so many opportunities. Golf and Mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. Family trips to the mountains are always something to look forward to.
